As a personal note here, Dr. Kakoma, whose research lab ran the PCRs which finally gave Thunder his long-delayed diagnosis of Neorickettsia risticii, spoke to my vet twice and at length, calling her back on his own time (what he has of it) to discuss testing, then the results of the test and treatment. I can't thank him enough for doing that.
